Swipe Launches Elite 2 Plus 2017 Smartphone with 8MP Camera & 3000mAh Battery for Rs. 3,999

Swipe has been constantly launching decent 4G VoLTE smartphones under Rs. 5,000. Today, the company came up with the Swipe Elite 2 Plus 2017 as the successor to 2016 launched Elite 2 Plus. Just like its predecessor, the new Elite 2 Plus 2017 also comes with a polycarbonate shell. It is priced at Rs. 3,999 and comes only in Black color option. Interestingly, the device is sold exclusively through Snapdeal. While other manufacturers are launching low-cost smartphones with Android 7.0 Nougat, the Swipe Elite 2 Plus 2017 still runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box
It sports a 5-inch IPS display on the front with VGA (640 x 480) pixels resolution. The listing mentioned the device to come powered by Qualcomm quad-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz. We can expect this processor to be one of the Snapdragon 200-series chipsets. As seen on the other low-cost smartphones, the Swipe Elite 2 Plus 2017 also offers 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage. There is also a MicroSD card slot for expanding the storage additionally up to 32GB. Beneath the display are the three capacitive navigation buttons.
In the camera department, the Elite 2 Plus 2017 sports an 8MP camera on the rear with LED flash and a 5MP camera on the front for selfies. Even with the Rs. 3,999 price tag, the smartphone comes backed by a 3,000mAh non-removable battery which should give more than a day-long battery life. It measures 145 x 72.8 x 9.9 mm and weighs 150 grams. The volume rocker and power button are placed on the right edge of the device. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, USB OTG, FM Radio, 3.5mm audio port, and MicroUSB 2.0 port.
Last month, the company also launched the Swipe Elite 4G smartphone with similar specifications. It is also priced at Rs. 2,500 but is sold through Flipkart. It came with a slightly better 5-inch display with FWVGA display. While rest of the specifications remain same, the battery capacity is only limited to 2,500mAh. It even got a Corning Gorilla Glass protection on the front.

Intex Aqua A4+ Smartphone with 4G VoLTE Support Launched for Rs. 3,999

In the last couple of months, Intex has launched almost half a dozen smartphones under Rs. 5,000. Today, the company has launched yet another low-cost smartphone called as Intex Aqua A4+ smartphone. It is the successor to earlier launched Aqua A4 and comes with 4G VoLTE support. It is priced at Rs. 3,999 and will be sold through retail stores across the country. The device will be available in Black and Champagne Gold color options. It runs on Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box and comes with 4G VoLTE support for using with the Jio 4G SIM.
The device sports a 4.5-inch display on the front with FWVGA (854 x 480 pixels) resolution. Under the hood, the Aqua A4 Plus comes powered by Spreadtrum SC9822 quad-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz. It also packs 1GB of RAM which should be good enough for basic usage. The device includes just 8GB of internal storage but comes with a MicroSD card slot for expanding the storage additionally up to 64GB. There are few pre-loaded bloatware apps like Xender, Amazon Prime Video, and Gaana which further decreases the available storage on this device.
Talking about the cameras, the Aqua A4 Plus sports a 5MP rear camera with LED flash and a 2MP front camera for selfies. It draws the juice from a 2,000mAh battery and is rated to give up to 8 hours of talk time and lasts up to 300 hours on standby. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, and MicroUSB 2.0 port. Both the power button and volume rocker are placed on the right edge of the device. Beneath the display are the three capacitive navigation buttons for back, home, and multi-tasking (from left to right). Last week, the company launched the Intex Cloud C1 and Aqua S1 smartphones for Rs. 3,499 & Rs. 3,999 respectively. Both these devices are exclusively sold through Amazon India. Just like the new Aqua A4 Plus, the Aqua S1 and Cloud C1 also supports 4G VoLTE and runs on Android 7.0 Nougat.

Gionee M7 Power Launched with 6″ HD+ Display, 4GB RAM & 5000mAh Battery

Earlier this week, Gionee launched the Gionee M7 & Big Gold Steel 2 smartphones in China with 18:9 displays. Now the company has announced the Big Gold Steel 2 as Gionee M7 Power for the global markets. The Gionee M7 Power is the successor to last year’s M6 Power. Compared to the 6,020mAh battery on theM6 Power, the new M7 Power features a slightly smaller 5,000mAh battery. The smartphone sports a metal body but comes with a glossy finish. While the Gold colored variant comes with the laser-cut finish, the Black and Dark Blue colors will be feature diamond-cut finish.
On the front is a 6-inch HD+ (1440 × 720 pixels) FullView display with 18:9 aspect ratio and 2.5D curved glass on the top. Just like any other smartphone with 18:9 display, the Gionee M7 Power also offers 85% screen-to-body ratio. Under the hood is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 octa-core processor clocked at 1.4GHz and comes coupled with Adreno 505 GPU. It packs 4GB of RAM and 64GB internal storage. There is also MicroSD card slot for expanding the storage up to 256GB. It also supports dual SIM dual standby using the hybrid SIM slot.
The M7 Power features on-screen navigation buttons and the fingerprint sensor is now placed on the rear. The fingerprint sensor can be also used a shutter button while in the camera app. It runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat out of the box with the highly customized Amigo 5.0 OS on the top. In terms of optics, the Gionee M7 Power sports a 13MP shooter on the rear with f/2.0 aperture, PDAF, and LED flash. For selfies, there is an 8MP camera on the front. The 5,000mAh non-removable battery on this device should easily last more than a day of heavy usage.
On the connectivity front, the M7 Power includes 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, and GPS. The smartphone measures 156.3 × 75.6 × 8.6 mm and weighs 187 grams. It will first go on sale in Thailand and is priced at THB 9,990 (approx USD 300 / INR 19,500). On the other hand, the high-end Gionee M7 comes with 6.01-inch Full HD+ (2160 × 1080 pixels) FullView AMOLED display and is powered by Helio P30 processor. It includes 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. There is a 16MP + 8MP dual camera setup on the rear and an 8MP selfie camera on the front. As of now, there is no information about the availability of these smartphones in the Indian market.
